What does a case packer offer me compared to packing by hand?
Automated packing saves on labour costs, brings continuity to your process and gives flexibility in handling different packs with short changeover times. Your staff are then free for work that adds more value.
Which case packer brands does Sismatec supply?
Sismatec works with Proseal case packers and with our own Sismation case packers. The Proseal case packer range is a proven end-of-line solution for trays, tubs and sandwich packs. The Sismation case packers are custom-built for your product, so they can also handle less obvious packs and layouts. Which brand and model fits, we decide together with you.
Which packs can a case packer handle?
Almost any kind. With the Sismation case packers, we make custom grippers for each customer, matched to your specific product and pack. That way you handle almost any pack neatly, including shapes that do not fit in a standard machine. The Proseal case packers also handle trays and sandwich packs in materials such as A-PET, C-PET and cardboard, and they can work with recyclable and compostable trays too.
How fast is a case packer?
That depends on the model and your pack. The Proseal CP2 fills crates and cases up to 110 packs per minute, the CP3 up to 120 packs per minute, and the CP4 Twin reaches well over 140 packs per minute with two lanes. We look together at which capacity fits your line.
Will a case packer fit my existing packaging line?
Yes, a case packer is meant as an addition to your existing line. The Proseal case packers integrate fully with extra equipment such as case erectors, conveyor belts, labelling and printing equipment, and the infeed and outfeed of crates can be matched to your factory layout. Manual feeding of cases and crates is also possible.
How fast can I switch between products or packs?
Switching is fast thanks to recipe control and tooling that you can easily detach. Changing over between products or formats is light and simple, through recipe-driven controls and quick-release tooling. That limits your downtime during a product change.
